We have made it to the big day! In times past, the reunion dinner was scheduled on Friday night and picnic was Saturday noon. With the time swap, the dinner is the bookend on Saturday night and picnic is noon Friday. The change is better overall because it extended the reunion until the wee hours on Saturday or Sunday morning. Your morning can be spent resting from Friday night or in the park visiting some beautiful vineyard.
What has changed since the last reunion is the added bonus of prize money for the best talent show performances. Besides the enjoyment of spending time with the family over dinner and music as well as being entertained by family members showing off their diverts talents, this year will feature three prizes to the top performances:
Prize for top three performances:
- Third place will take home $250.00
- Second place will pocket $750.00
- First place will walk away with a money order for $1,500.00 and a 4 foot trophy with your name on it.
We have some very talented members in this family and this is a just a little incentive to drive them towards preparing for this event and giving the family their very best. In addition to the prize money, we will also be filming the entire night on high def digital for a YouTube video. Now go break out your old dancing shoes or musical instrument for your chance to walk away with bragging rights for two years.
